GSAT-9 has been launched with various objectives like,
1. Disaster Management- India will provide secure point-to -point connections among all these nations for communication and disaster management. During such disasters, countries can take each other's help through these.
2. Communication: Though tele-education and tele-medicime, patients can consult doctors and students and learn though various e-sources. Moreover, India can share its technical know-how with other nations as well.
3. Also, it will help countries in mapping terrain and resources and thereby take advantage of untapped resources. It will help them conserve these resources as well.

Recently ISRO’s GSAT 9 which is satellite for development of diplomatic ties between India and neighbouring country. Main focus of GSAT 9 is 1.communication ,

GSAT-9 Satellite, hovering over Asian countries could help them to solve : 
1) Management of Demography and resources
Developing Asian countries are rich in natural and human resources, but biggest problem faced by them is to unavailability of technology to keep watch on them and manage it efficiently. Satellite captured images can easily help them quick identification,  better mobilisation and effective utilisation of such resources.

2) Counter Terrorism and prevent illegal migration : 
Satellite images, trackers and sensors can pin point the locations, movements of terrorist hiding in thick forest areas which can help security forces to eliminate them.
Illegal migration not only creates burden on nation but also promotes human rights violation in form of human trafficking, child labour etc.

3) Protection of Environment and prevention of illegal animal trades 
Satellites images help governments to keep track of forest covers and can help organisations to eliminate exploitation of forest resources, illegal poaching and trading of wild animals.

4) Spread of Education, Awareness and Peace
spread of education is possible because of wide Satellite coverage.
