Defination…. Public distribut :- india food security system, established by the government of india under Ministry of "kartik singh" of sitapur food & public subsidized food & non food items to india's poor .The scheme was launched February 1944 .

***major commodities distributed include staple food grains such wheat ,rice,sugar and kerosene through a network of the fair price shops established in several states across the country.
Yes help reduction of rulal poverty by PDS .
Families below poverty (BPL) issue of the ration cards ,supervision and monitoring the functioning of FPS .
35 kg food grains and cards holder above the poverty line give 15 kg of food grains as per the norms of PDS.
* today are dreaming of digital india india and also complete it . But these is a problem of identification in ration card. Ration cards will give them grains but the biggest problem is how to created a ration cards .becouse the ration card seeks to create on address and its proof the poor who do not have a hhouse ,neither how can you mak your card in the land .it does not even know how to get ration .this is the biggest issue.
The card is benefiting from those people who are not poor .
We saw that 2017 santoshi Kumari died in a news that had a ration card but she did not have the adhar card .we should do something that the distribution of grains only poor families.

I think editors of newspaper mention caste in articles because our caste still define our status in society. Sadly Even after 70 years of Independence and Having a Preamble which holds ‘ Justice, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity’ values. Our caste in India still tells a lot about us. I think in articles they mention it just to give clear picture of the peole. It is not newspaper to blame here but us, our society and government.
