  2. Sir actually we should educate our society rather then discussing death penalty because that's really important we should stop all this before rather then thinking this could happen to anyone " prevention is always better then cure "

  3. 1. The 25th CHOGM was originally scheduled for Vanuatu in 2017 but the country rescinded its offer to host after Cyclone Pam devastated the country's infrastructure in March 2015.
2.NCRB is headquartered in New Delhi and is part of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Good night sir. God keeps u alive thousands years.

  4. Death penaly should be prohibited because it will harm mostly victim. Rather as life imprisonment we can make it worse by several conditions as only the accused must stay under four walls, like in hyderabad golkunda ford, the victim are in four wall room with one hole on top to supply food for only two time, no human contact with them, bythis they will frustrate n curse themself to do these offences, by these type of punishment people wil think ten times to do these type of offences. Death ki saja dar nai banati baki aesi chijose insanki ruhh kaap sakti hai

  7. I have been reading The hindu for 2 eyars but today i have gone first time for the lecture. Very interesting .I enjoyed 33 minutes but can understand ur dedication towards the students preparing for competitive exam …..well done nice job ..

  8. On 22nd of April 2018 our president Ram Nath kovind signed an ordinance introducing death penalty for the ones who are convicted of raping girls below the age of 12. It's a great decision by our government, but what I think that, death penalty is not only the answer or the solution to reduce rape cases or to create deterrents.
One of the major focus must also on enhancing rape conviction rates which can bring proper results in reducing the rape cases. We must also think about the upliftment and empowerment of rape victims in our society. The perspective of some society to see the victim itself from wrong perspective rather than the perpetrator should also be diminished.
According to NCRB around 24,923 rape cases were reported across India in 2012 out of which 24,470 were committed by their Know persons. Many of the rape cases are not being registered too as many of the people are unaware about the law of the country and punishment. From 2012-18 there has been no decline seen in past 6 years due to failing to create deterrents.
Death penalty may on one side can suite us the right way of justice to victims but if we look at the another side, it creates chances by the perpetrator to kill the victim as to avoid getting in any case mess also as most of the abuse is done by know persons, within a family due to death penalty fear many suppress the matter within the family.
Justice Verma who make amendments after 2012 Nirbhaya case also suggest to keep aside the death penalty but the government have allow it to rare cases.
Although the conviction against the culprits must done within maximum limit of under six months ,people must be aware of the laws, the victims must not be il-treated in police station or in the hospitals, moreover we as individuals must take action spontaneously if we see anything working or predict something to be going wrong around our society or any place. Only relying on the Judiciary and Government will not ensure safeguard and empowerment of our Indian women and girls, we ourselves among eachother have to forward steps together…

  9. This is a very sensitive issue and it is the direct attack on our society .It is very shameful to heard that kind of incidents like country in India. where women's are worship and devoted by peoples. this shows our contradiction on women's where we devoted them and other side we are distorted them. compare to other country's of the world the rape cases are generally less than India.we should respect all the women's in the world whereas they are our sister or mother. they are also a sister or mother of anybody else's.rape cases are increasing in India day by day the culprits are not accused by our judiciary they are not taking fruitful decisions on that issues. it give the support to the rapist because they all know they can easily be escaped they are roaming freely throughout the territory a famous dialogue 'TARIK PA TARIK' is very correct about our judiciary system. currently our judiciary suffering from the lacking of judges in the court there are many cases are pending 100000 cases over 1 judge that's why our judiciary is not working productively. from some past few years rape has been a big problem for our country generally age of 5-16 years of girls are suffering from that. lately they are limited to the rural areas but now days they are also happened in urban areas also. According to the surveys rapists are belongs to their family's most are known to them . some ministers are propagate them to earn some vote and they enjoys these kind of incidents. they divided into the category like color, religion and age. RAPE KRNE WALE KA OR RAPE HONE WALE KA KOI DHARAM NHI HOTA we are living in the 21st century we should leave our orthodox thinking and move forwards towards humanity we cut see or bear the killing of the humanity in the front of our eye. government should take some serious step about that because we don't know who is next asifa or nirbhaya and we don't want more cases like that where humanity has killed. from my point of view death penalty can be a good solution for that. as we all are humans and our life is limited that's why no one wants to be hanged. It became the revolutionary act by our government in most of the country's they are tackling that kind of situation very easily by shoot the culprits in thefront of people. it spread the terror to nations death penalty is the highest penalty KHEL KHATAM and then the persons should think twice to do these kinds of act but from one thing i am not agree to the government why should they give death to the rapist who raped the girl below the age of 12. RAPE TO RAPE HOTA HAI . government should give death to all the rapist who rape the girls no matter what their age.

first time i wrote essay ..

  14. April 23rd International News section; I saw a news about a Korean or Vietnamese celebrity… Can anyone tell me what was the news..? The news was in the back page of The Hindu Edition

  15. Question: Death penalty is not an answer and the focus must be on enhancing rape conviction rates.Analyse the statement.

Answer:Crime against women has taken a drastic increase in the present world and India is no exception to it.A reason for this , most importantly being a staggeringly low conviction rate, besides maximum cases being pending before the courts due to dearth of adequate number of judges.More than anything, shockingly majority of the rape cases go unreported due to various reasons. The conviction rate against rapists must increase so that the potential rapists don't feel that raping a female is the new normal where anyone can run scotfree after committing rape. The recent ordinance by President Kovind of giving capital punishment to convicts who have raped children of age 12 and below is a welcome sign. However, age of victim shouldn't decide the intensity of punishment.Every rape is an act of intense misery to any woman be she of any age.If rapes are to be stopped, capital punishment in a reasonable course of time to the convict must be practised. To make our society a worthy and secure place to live in,we don't need only written laws but the implementation of them is more important.

  16. Although india is the fastest developing nation in today's world but the real development is also needed in the mindset of our country's citizens.
Death penalty as a punishment for an offence such as rape is a decision with right intention but wrong direction.yes,it is an offence that can never be taken as something less serious but being a part of an intellectual race among all special, we must think more rationally rather than emotionally.
As Justice verma,in nirbhaya case said that ,death penalty should not be considered as an option for rape convicts. Death is too easy and short way (even painless) for a person to be given as punishment.Although, there are certain other highly attention seeking areas related to women security and women empowerment.
    Now some of those are:-
    1) government should first increase the security and service standards by introducing strong impact policies related to women.
    2) government should take steps such that fear strikes in the mind of a person even if he thinks of committing such an offence. That can be done by punishing the convict with the most harsh way of living possible.
    3) there are more number of rape cases which are not disclosed than the ones which are disclosed .reason is- insufficient cooperation by society members, police and hospital officials .RESPECT in society is major one .so,our police department should be more active and dedicated towards their work.
4)lack of trust on our system .this is a big reason why people dont approach police or judiciary for justice cz they know money can buy almost everything.this can be solved only by the system assuring the citizens with their deeds(policies).
    5) lack of awareness among citizens on how to tackle and terminate this wrongful thinking. This should be done by our government by organizing campaigns or small ads that can help them to reach everybpossible section of society.
    6) lack of concern by our parliamentarians who are elected by citizens for their welfare but they are busy in their own personal matters in parliament.also we can see the productivity of sessions of parliament has been the lowest till date.
What our system needs to do is to focus on how to tackle this problem rationally.
Rigorous punishment that can move the hell out of the convict such that death seems easy for him than his life .it will definitely work out.
death penalty has its own cons.it will compel the convict to attempt for murder of the victim even if he is not intended to do that earlier.
Government should take steps that can help women to empower themselves such as women training centres .
But nothing can be done alone by government. Citizens share the equal responsibility of contributing in the direction of solution.if government is seriously dedicated and citizens are equally aware , crimes such as rape can definitely be minimised and possibly terminated from our society.
