GST a "Good & Simple Tax" as pronounced by our Prime Minister. It is the 102nd Amendment of the constitution of India. In pre-gst regime there are many Indirect-tax to say some they are Excise, service tax,vat,luxary tax etc. but in GST all such tax is subsumed which result in reduce compliance procedure of the other tax (service tax , Excise ,VAt etc) and less tax rate variation.

Salient Features
i) Gst is divided into 3 parts i,e CGST, SGST, IGST.
ii) 279A of constitution powers tax council to take decision over Gst
iii) Many Indirect Tax is subsumed

Benefits
i) one tax would be paid.
ii) only one registration required unlike pre-gst taxpayer had to take registration in different-2 regime
iii) 90% of the things is online
iv) One jurisdiction

Impact on Economy

FDI Boost up :-
In many Countries there is GST & before gst in India foreign com had to comply with many tax in different states which would decreased attracting Foreign Investors.

Spider Pattern :-
Gst is made in such a way tht if a person is registered & he plans for any tax evasion he could be easily traced, so leak of tax would be saved.

Plastic Economy:-
Tax above 10000 rupee would be paid in digital mode which would motivate and make practice of paying money digitally.Earlier Demonitisation had flamed cashless economy too
