प्राकृतिक संसाधनों की अपार उपलब्धता के चलते विश्व शक इंडो पैसिफिक रीजन की ओर आकर्षित हुई है लंबे समय से अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंचों पर उदासीनता ,नस्लवाद ,अत्याचार ,का शिकार है इस क्षेत्र में स्वयं पोषित निवेश के बजाय सहयोग की अति आवश्यकता है|
राजनीतिक सांस्कृतिक संबंध ,उपनिवेशवाद, नसलवाद विरोध ,हिंद महासागरीय सुरक्षा आतंकवाद, जलवायु परिवर्तन ,के साथ ही स्वास्थ्य शिक्षा बुनियादी ढांचा व गरीबी उन्मूलन जैसी चुनोतियों की समरूपता ने भारत अफ्रीकी बेहतर संबंधों की रूपरेखा तैयार की है |
जहां कहीं देश स्वयं पोषित रहकर संसाधन दोहन कर रहे हैं वृहत रक्षा हथियार बाजार की संभावना देखते हुए निवेश कर रहे हैं वहीं भारत 1990 के बाद से ही सूक्ष्म आधारभूत ढांचा का विकास, शिक्षा ,कौशल ,मानव संसाधन प्रशिक्षण ,नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा क्षेत्र हरित परियोजना क्षेत्र ,e नेटवर्क विकास, गरीबी-उन्मूलन में पूर्वी अफ्रीका रीजन में प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक रूप के बजाय सहयोग की दृष्टि से निवेश कर रहा है|

गुणवत्तापूर्ण आधारभूत संरचना उपलब्ध करवाने के उद्देश्य से भारत ने पूर्वी अफ्रीकी क्षेत्रों में रेलवे ,व्यापारिक संबंध ,ऋण उपलब्धता नौसेना मदद व शांति स्थापना के लिए कई कदम उठाए हैं |
इस क्रम में इंडो अफ्रीकी व्यापार 2005 में 11.9डॉलर बिलियन था, वहीं 2017 में यह 62.66:$ बिलियन तक बढ़ा है भारत उपरोक्त क्षेत्रों में जमीनी स्तर पर लोगों के जीवन स्तर सुधार हेतु सामाजिक सांस्कृतिक संबंधों के साथ MOSAM SAGAR एवं सागरमाला जैसी परियोजनाओं का विकास कर रहा है SAGAR-सिक्योरिटी एंड ग्रोथ इन ऑल रीजन कनेक्टिविटी (सागर माला) हेतु बंदरगाह विकास के साथ ही PAN AFRICAN E NET की सहायता से डिजिटलीकरण ,हवाई कनेक्टिविटी हेतु विमान ठहराव जैसी सहायता प्रदान कर रहा है |
ACBF (अफ्रीकन कैपेसिटी बिल्डिंग फाउंडेशन) कि सहायता से $1 का निवेश सतत विकास एवं गरीबी उन्मूलन के लिए किया गया है |
भारत अफ्रीका को भी कूटनीतिक सहयोगी देख रहा है हाल ही में भारतीय राष्ट्रपति उपराष्ट्रपति सहित अन्य की 23 विदेशी यात्राएं जिसमें ब्रिक्स की 10 वीं बैठक जोहांसबर्ग के साथ युगांडा, रवांडा के लिए प्रधानमंत्री यात्राएं भी महत्वपूर्ण रही है |
अस्थिरताओ व पूर्वी अफ्रीका में लुटेरों से बचाव हेतु सैन्य मदद वही EEZ(एक्सक्लूसिव इकोनॉमिक जोन) निर्माण में भारत भरपूर सहयोग प्रदान कर रहा है |
भारत जापान के साथ AAGC(एशिया अफ्रीका ग्रोथ कॉरिडोर) में अफ्रीका में परिवहन व्यापार शिक्षा स्तर में सुधार ला रहा है |

अत्यल्प दूरी व EEZएक्सक्लूसिव इकोनॉमिक जोन के चलते हैं यहां पर व्यापार पश्चिमी देशों की तुलना में आसान है जहां से सोमालिया, मेडागास्कर ,केन्या तंजानिया जैसे देशों से सीधा संपर्क आसान है |
भारत अफ्रिका संबंधों को गति देना अति आवश्यक है चीन व पश्चिमी देशों की लगातार सक्रियता के साथ ही अफ्रीका में भारतीयों की जनसंख्या भारतीय कंपनियों की अधिकता के कारण अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है आधारभूत ढांचा को विकसित कर वहां स्थिरता व शांति की आवश्यकता भी आवश्यक है ताकि सहयोग हेतु अधिक से अधिक निवेश किया जा सके |
