Though the development comprises of socio-cultural, political and human terms, but the economic factor is more direct reflexive of overall growth. Entrepreneurship is setting up once own business and has following contribution towards nation growth-
1) Self employment
2) Create job opportunities eradicating poverty
3) Leading towards technically enhanced and skilled India.
4) Contributing to GDP growth.
5) Digitalization of nation.
OLA, UBER, FLIPKART, Google etc. which started as a small startup are now giant firms and immensely contributing to employment generation along with GDP growth worldwide.
Government of India has launched Startup India, Make in India, Atal Innovation mission, National skill development mission and Standup India to promote the entrepreneurship concept. Also Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna(PMMY) provides financial aid to needy groups or individual.
The major setback lies in the implementation itself of such advanced and technically equipped concept to our huge diverse population.
With 25% uneducated population and 20% in category of BPL, the entrepreneurship word is far away from their reach. Women, unskilled youth and minority needs to be given special attention. Prime institutes like IITs and IIMs will have to take lead from front to fire the alarm. Finally these big initiatives takes time to happen. It should be ensured changing government always favors the idea.
