The Shakopee girls tennis team earned its first South Suburban Conference win of the season.
Shakopee defeated Lakeville South 4-3 last Thursday at South High School.
The Sabers earned the win by winning three singles matches and a doubles match.
All seven matches went straight sets but Shakopee clinched the win by winning a second set tiebreaker at No. 3 doubles.
Shakopee’s Akshi Arun and Aavni Varadhan were paired up at No. 3 doubles and earned a 6-4 win in the first set.
