Cell Division – are of two types
Mitosis
Meiosis
Mitosis – is equational cell division that is the number of chromosome in two daughter cells is similar to number of chromosome in parent cell. It takes place in somatic cells of the body. Cell cycle consist of two phases:-
M-Phase
I- Phase
In 24 hours cell cycle ;- 23 hours are for I-phase and 1 hour is for M-phase .
I-Phase is divided into 3 phases.
G1- phase – Decision to divide is taken in this phase
S – phase – DNA and histone protein replication occurs.
G2- phase RNA and Non-histone protein replication occurs.
