  2. Stocks are stories, Bonds are mathematics. Bonds yields and prices reflect a sovereign's economic health. Where as stocks are fragile, can be manipulated, they don't reflect the true value. When we see rating agencies like fitch, moody's rating an economy it reflects the strength of government securities. In the current context, the developed economies with surplus are not spending much, less capital formation on the other hand countries like India spend more and they have to finance it. Bonds are one of most important sources of government financing in all economies. You'll see that when an economy has problems the yield goes high and prices drop. Defaulting nations fail to meet the payments of their bonds. In nutshell, Sir correctly advised us to look towards bond markets seriously, more than the stocks. It can be discussed in detail in Vartlap forum. An explainer covering global bond market, India's growing corporate bond market, Sovereign defaults and other technical details will be really helpful. Thank you Sir for making our lives easier.

  7. The bond market is where investors go to trade (buy and sell) debt securities, prominently bonds, which may be issued by corporations or municipalities. The stock market is a place where investors go to trade (buy and sell) equity securities such as common stocks and derivatives (options, futures, etc).
