The trading practices between theses nations will strengthen, keeping Venezuela 1 step ahead of India and having lots of benefits on imports from India as they would possibly only have to pay India back with INR which will also allow them to save USD and trade with other countries at the same time !! The Finance Ministry with which the Ministry for Commerce and Industry is in talks, is examining a list of countries that may favour this move of trading in rupee terms. Although the list includes important oil producers such as Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, major crude suppliers such as Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates are not on it. Other countries on the list include Russia, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa and Thailand.Venezuala has similar arrangements with Turkey, China and Russia due to US sanctions.

Under the scheme-

    1. Account holders will be provided bank accounts with no minimum balance.

    2. RuPay debit cards will be issued.

    3. Accidental insurance cover of ₹1 lakh (US$1,500).

    4. After six months of opening of the bank account, holders will be eligible for ₹5,000 (US$77) overdraft from the bank.[10]

    5. With the introduction of new technology introduced by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), a person can transfer funds, check balance through a normal phone which was earlier limited only to smart phones.

    6. Mobile banking for the poor would be available through National Unified USSD Platform (NUUP) for which all banks and mobile companies have come together[5]

    7. Explain ‘Defence Corridors’ & what its targets are? In his February 1 budget speech, Union finance minister Arun Jaitley had said two defence industrial production corridors would be developed in the country. The first corridor between Chennai and Bengaluru has been announced while the other defence industrial corridors would be between Agra-Aligarh, Lucknow-Kanpur-Jhansi-Chitrakoot.Target- would invite investments of around Rs 20,000 crore and create 2.5 lakh jobs.
