  2. 1).SAARC Satellite renamed as South Satellite because all SAARC countries have since joined it except Pakistan.

2).“Kesavananda Bharathi is the case which saved Indian democracy; thanks to Shri Kesavananda Bharati, eminent jurist Nanabhoy Palkhivala and the seven judges who were in the majority.”

The Basic Structure doctrine forms the basis of power of the Indian judiciary to review, and strike down, amendments to the Constitution of India enacted by the Indian parliament which conflict with or seek to alter this basic structure of the Constitution by using Powers of Parliament given under ARTICLE-368
    Example-
In Indira Nehru Gandhi v. Raj Narain, a Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court used the basic structure doctrine to strike down the 39th amendment and paved the way for restoration of Indian democracy.

    3).Kazuo Ishiguro (Japanese),Noble Literature Prize Winner,2017.

  3. 1) the South Asia satellite, also known as GSAT-9 ,is a gift of India to its neighbouring countries.it is a communication and mateorological satellite.prima facie it was named as SAARC

2)the kesvanand Bharti v. state if Kerala and others was a landmark decision in the history of indian judiciary .It gave the doctrine of "basic structure of constitution". According to this principle, the parliament can ammend any part of the constitution provided that it can not affect the basic structure of the constitution.

  5. 1. Pakistan was not ready to be part of SAARC satellite because it’s offer of money and assistance was rejected by India.

2.Because after this judgement- The Supremecourt said that parliament can amend any part of the constitution but it should not hurt the basic structure of the constitution. Basic Structure of the constitution is no where mentioned in the constitution. It was a judicial innovation.

2)this is a landmark decision of SC of india that outlined the basic structure of the constitution.

  7. 1.the main reason for change of the name of SAARC Satellite to SouthAsian Satellite is pakistan is not the members of this satellite.
2.In Keshavananda Bharti case SC held that parliament can alter or ammend the constitution so long it "do not disturb the basic structure of the constitution".
