Free Cat Adoptions Are Being Offered Through July At 16 Maryland Shelters - News

Marylanders interested in adopting a feline should definitely consider doing it now. A total of 16 humane societies and shelters statewide are offering free cat adoption through July.

The standard adoption fees will be waived beginning Saturday July 1, in an effort to find homes for 2,000 playful, furry felines. The Baltimore Animal Welfare Alliance will offer a certificate for free cat exam and a goody bag to anyone who adopts a cat from one of the four shelters they operate. The Cat Hospital at Towson will perform the exam.

“Kitten Season” has recently begun so animal shelters are expecting an influx of kittens.
