Sir, How answer will be 338350… Suppose we consider a square consist of 3 horizontal and 3 vertical line then clearly no. Of square will be 5…i.e 1sq+2sq=5….In your question square is consist of ? horizontal and ? vertical line so answer should be…1sq+……….99sq=328350

338350,we get this pattern… sum of square of of terms.i.e 1^2+2^2+…………+N^2 = N(N+1)(2N+1)/6…solving it by takinh N=100 we get 338350 no. of squares

Sir in the given 100 by 100 grid the 1,2,3……100 are the notation of lines…in which only 99 columns and 99 rows……
Ex.. For making a 3 by 3 square we need 4 vertical and 4 horizontal line……
So in this way in the given question there are 99 column and rows than…by 1²+2²+3²……99²
We get 328350…if I am wrong…than plz explain
