GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a prestigious all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology ( IITs).
Some of the streams of GATE are: Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), Civil Engineering (CE), Chemical Engineering (CH), Biotechnology (BT).
Apart from admissions to M.Tech/ME/MS courses, GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is also the qualifying test for many PSUs like BHEL, NTPC, IOCL etc.
