Circle and its Properties:-In this video Have discussed about the concepts of Circle that comes in many exams like ssc cgl , ssc chsl , rrb ( Railways ) , cat etc.
Advance maths for SSC CGL,SSC CGL GEOMETRY :- GEOMETRY is a major topic for all the government exams like SSC CGL,SSC CHSL,RAILWAY,CAT,XAT,SNAP ect. Most of the questions are asked from geometry in each and every exam.In all of our geometry sessions we will disuss all the basics theory and will solve problem on each and every theory. If the basics are clear geometry becomes very easy and intersting topic for everyone.so lets make geometry easy and interesting together.

Common Chord:- When 2 circles intersect, only one common chord will be there.
Types of Common Chords:-
1)Circle of different size 2)Circle intersecting at 900 3) Congruent Circle
Example 1# Two circles of radii 5 cm and 3 cm intersects at two points and the distance between their centre is 4 cm. Find the length of the common chord.
A) 7 cm B) 8 cm C) 5 cm D) 6 cm
Example 2# Two circles of radius 10 cm each are drawn so that their centres are 12 cm apart. Find the length between two points of intersection
A) 14 cm B) 16 cm C) 15 cm D) 18 cm
Example 3# Find length of the common chord of two circles of radii 15 cm and 20 cm, distance between the centers being 25cm.
A) 20 cm B) 30 cm C) 28 cm D) 24 cm
Example 4# Two circles having radii 26 cm & 30 intersect each other at two points. If the distance between their centre is 28 cm then Find the length of the common chord.
A) 42 cm B) 38 cm C) 48 cm D) 50 cm
Example 5# Two circles having radii 7cm & 19 cm are separated by a distance of 22 cm between their centers. If they are intersecting each other at two points P & Q then what will be the length of the common chord PQ?
a.) 9√205/13 b.) 8√255/11 c.) 9√233/13 d.) 8√155/11
Example 6# The length of the common chord of two intersecting circles is 30 cm. If the radii of the two circles are 25 cm and 17 cm,find the distance between their centres
A) 26 cm B) 28 cm C) 30 cm D) 32 cm
Example 7# Find the length of the common chord of two circles of radii 5cm and 26cm, respectively, if the distance between their centers is 17cm.
A) 1 B) 15 C) 16 None
Example 8# two circles intersect and have a common chord that is 16cm long . the centers are 21cm apart . if the radius of one circle is 10cm ,find the radius of the other circle
A) 15 cmB) 17 cm C) 21cm D) 18 cm
Example 9# Two circles, each of radius 14cm, are drawn with their centres 20cm apart. Find the exact length of their common chord.
A) 7√6 B) 6√7 C) 6√8 D) 8√6
Example 10# A square and a circle intersect so that each side of the square contains a chord of the circle equal in length to the radius of the circle. What is the ratio of the area of the square to the area of the circle?
A) 3:? B) 4: ? C) 5: ? D)2: ?
