Common Chord:- When 2 circles intersect, only one common chord will be there.
Types of Common Chords:-
1)Circle of different size 2)Circle intersecting at 900 3) Congruent Circle
Example 1# Two circles of radii 5 cm and 3 cm intersects at two points and the distance between their centre is 4 cm. Find the length of the common chord.
