How I studied for the GMAT Test - Videos

Want or have to take the GMAT? Here’s how I studied in 4 weeks and made the grade I needed to get into my MBA of choice.

Here’s who I used:

More info about the GMAT:

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a master’s degree in business administration, which attracts people from a wide range of academic disciplines. The MBA designation originated in the United States, emerging from the late 19th century as the country industrialized and companies sought out scientific approaches to management. The MBA degree has since achieved worldwide recognition.
Accreditation bodies exist specifically for MBA programs to ensure consistency and quality of graduate business education, and business schools in many countries offer MBA programs tailored to full-time, part-time, executive, and distance learning students, with specialized concentrations.

Each year, well-known business publications such as Business Week, US News & World Report, Fortune, Financial Times, and the Wall Street Journal publish rankings of selected MBA programs that, while controversial in their methodology, nevertheless can directly influence the prestige of schools that achieve high scores.

DISCLOSURE: I have recently joined up forces with The GMAT Coach to help promote the great services he offers. I MADE THIS VIDEO BEFORE I JOINED UP WITH THE GMAT COACH. It is my honest, truthful opinion. I would never promote anything I didn’t use or find success with. Obviously I found success or I wouldn’t have gotten a full scholarship to my b-school 🙂

  1. Please tell me how u did it… I have to score more than 700 for a Phd course, there are no tutors for the GMAT in my home town, I have to travel at least 500km to find one! PLEASEEE HELP!!!

  2. Hey bud, thanks for the tips. I'm planning to take the GMAT test to get into MBA program. I'll definitely need to study for the verbal part. English is my second language though. Anyway, thanks for your help and your positive input on here.

  3. Hey Ben you mentioned about buying practise tests online for $8 for 20 tests. Which site was it? Please tell. Love this video Ben. I can relate to it as the score is more practical and in my range. Thanks

  4. Hi Ben,
Could you please explain me, how much is the essay writing section important and how does it impact on the total score? for instance, if I have 2 out of 6 points (but during trial tests I have pretty good score from math and verbal) does it big matter? Please, reply ASAP.
    Thank you, in advance!

  5. Thank u for posting this video. I've been studying for about a month & have a due date of June 1, 2013. So any additional tips u have is much appreciated! I'm applying to Santa Clara Univ & University of Southern California.

  6. While u comment about 1 month, people from India, China and Russia take years of preparation for GMAT. The official guide has more than 1000 pages. How many pages u can complete per day? Think about it

  7. Without a doubt, if he only studied for 3 or 4 weeks and didn't study AT ALL for Verbal, 640 is an AWESOME score. I took it with about 1.5 months of preparation using the Manhattan books and online resources (which I highly recommend) and scored 670. I'm shooting for a Top-10 school because of my chosen career (I-banking/PE/VC), so I recently hired a private tutor with Veritas, and I'm scheduled to sit for the exam a second time in mid-November. We'll see how I do. Good job Ben.
