As the UPSC Civil services IAS 2018 exam is nearing, Dr. Vijay Agrawal through this video has tried to address the problem of word limit faced by the civil services aspirants in the Mains examination while answer writing. As you all already know that General studies paper 1, 2, 3 & 4 and essay paper all have word limit to answer their questions. He has advised the students to always honour this limit and also explained why word limit is beneficial and important for the candidates. He has cleared few doubts of the students related to the word limit like- which words do not count in the counting of words, by how much the answer can variate in terms of words, does punctuations also counted as words etc.
