The Main exam for the Joint Entrance Examination 2018 (JEE 2018) will be conducted by the authority in pen paper mode on April 8. However, the dates for the online mode are yet to be announced. Every year, the mains exam is conducted by the CBSE while one of the IITs organized the JEE Advanced exam.

This year, advanced exam will be conducted by the IIT Kanpur.

The exam is held on the national level to determine the eligibility of the candidate for various undergraduate courses in IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs.

Qualifying marks

The candidates need to have minimum 75 percent marks in class 12 or must be in the top 20 percentile to be eligible for the JEE Main 2018. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks are 65 percent.
