Sir Q.6 (as your numbering) question also states that both particle travels along the path which takes least path. Now as the question is considering the effect of gravitational acceleration, the least time past is not a straight inclined slope but instead a Brachistochrone curve which takes least time to travel a particale from point A to point B under gravitational acc. So basically that suggest we must In reality tackle the question by "Principle of least Action" where Action is defined as the line integral of difference in potential and kinetic energy.
