Lucknow: The Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018 has been scheduled on May 21 and it will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
IIT Madras conducted the exam last year on May 21.
The JEE Advanced – mandatory IIT entrance exam will be completely online from next year, a member of the IIT Joint Admission Board (JAB) had earlier said.
Students vying for admission to NITs, IITs and other centrally funded institutions need to clear the JEE Mains test to qualify for the JEE Advanced. The government had earlier introduced the option of taking the JEE Mains test online, and the JAB has now decided to extend it to the Advanced exam.
