Debaditya Pramanik from Kolkata emerged as the topper in the eastern region by All India Rank of 38 the in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2017, results of which were declared on Sunday.

Sarvesh Mehtani from Panchkula secured the All India Rank of 1 in the JEE (Advanced), which is held for admission to all the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM) in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad.

A student of Birla High School, Pramanik bagged the first position in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) this year and also emerged as the topper from West Bengal in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12.
