In JEE Main Examination, Chemistry is one of the important subjects. For many, Chemistry is the easiest part of the JEE Examination. Only few numerical questions are asked in JEE Main Examination. There are three sections in Chemistry i.e., Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. From Physical Chemistry only numerical questions are asked in JEE Main Examination. You cannot clear JEE Main Examination 2018 on the basis of only one or two subjects. You will have to concentrate on all subjects to score good marks in JEE Main Examination 2018. The level of difficulty of Chemistry is easier than the other two subjects i.e., Physics and Mathematics.

About the Exam:

Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) is a two phase examination i.e., JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) every year. After successfully clearing JEE Main examination students appear for JEE Advanced examination which is conducted by one of the IITs. In JEE Main there are two papers i.e., Paper – 1 for B. Tech aspirants and Paper 2 for B. Arch aspirants. JEE Main Paper – 1 is of 3 hours having three subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject has 30 questions in total.

The important tips to prepare Chemistry section are given below:

1. Syllabus:

The first and the most important thing before starting the preparation for JEE Examination 2018 is to get to know the latest syllabus. If you don’t have the latest syllabus, then you cannot start your preparation.

2. Important Topics:

To know the important topics you need the correct analysis of the previous year paper same. Importance of a topic is decided on the basis of number of questions asked in previous year papers from that topic. More the number of questions asked from a topic more will be the importance of the topic. Some of the important topics are Mole Concept, Chemical Bonding, S-Block, Alkyl Halides, Alcohol & Ether (Reaction Mechanism) and Thermodynamics & Thermochemistry. Out of these topics more than 18 questions are generally asked in the examination.

3. Good Study Material:

As we all know it is better to read one good book five times than to read five books once. Students should follow NCERT books as the content given in the books is in very concise form. It will help them to score good marks in Board Examinations as well as JEE Examination 2018.

So what should be my plan for organic chemistry so that if 10 questions come from organic section.I should be able to solve at least 5-6 questions out of them
