Two 18-year-olds from Karnataka – one from Bengaluru, the other from the small town of Sirsi in Dakshina Kannada – have shown that financial or social background doesn’t matter to come up trumps in academics and be on track to pursue your dreams; all it requires is dedication, determination and an undying passion for those pursuits.
The two – Ninad H Huilgol from Bengaluru and Viswajith P Hegde from Sirsi – are in the limelight for securing all-India ranks of 54 (325/360) and 65 (323/360), respectively, at the JEE Main 2017 examinations, and are aspirants for seats in the Indian Institutes of technology (IIT).
