This video covers Kerala State Quota Cutoff for Kerala Medical Government colleges for MBBS Admission. It provides details on private and govt college fees structure, reservation categories, NEET cutoff for each reservation category.

Kerala has 10 government medical colleges and 24 private medical colleges with a total of 3450 MBBS seats. Do you know that most of the management quota fees for private colleges in Kerala is capped at Rs 5 lakhs/annum. So nearly 2800 seats are available at subsidized tuition fees.

Let me give overview of the fees structure in govt as well as private college now. For govt college, the fees would be around 25K per year. For 85% of seats in most of the private colleges, the fees is fixed at 5 lakhs/annum and for NRI it is between 14 to 20 lakhs/year.seat.

As I told earlier, there are 1300 seats from govt colleges and 1500 seats from private colleges which comes under state govt quota under the subsidized fees. For these 2800 seats, more than 1.2 lakh students are competing this year. Apart from Kerala only few states such as Maharatra, Uttar Pradesh and Tamilnadu have more than 1 lakh students appeared for NEET 2018.

Now lets move on to category based reservations in Kerala mbbs admission. 60% of the seats are reserved for Open Merit category. BC is divided into 8 subcategories based on religion and community and it comprises of 30% of the total seats. SC candidates get 8% reservation whereas ST candidates get 2% reservation in kerala medical admission.

Now comes the interesting data on the NEET cutoff marks for Kerala state govt colleges based on the reservation. Last year cutoff for open category was 584 for the least preferred college in Kerala which is Trissur government medical college. For BC cutoff for each subcategory is given here. The cutoff for each BC subcategory is covered in the next slide. For SC last year cutoff was 400 and for ST it was 334.
