Hello everyone!
Thought I would make this video for you all since CASPA updated their experience section to include CNA under patient care AND health care. I wanted to share my thoughts on how I distinguish between the two. Experiences like taking vitals or working as a scribe are also hard to classify so you should definitely contact programs individually and see if they accept them as full or even partial patient care!
*This is my own personal opinion*
Please like and share if the video was helpful!

Literally just entered this info yesterday haha
Do you think being an EKG technician is a good choice?
Never mind thanks a lot for the video. I just saw EKG teach is acceptable.
Hey James. Do you think the clinical care extender program would be considered patient care experience or healthcare experience?
Hi James I love your videos. I was wondering how you got your job as a physical therapy aide? I also live in San Diego and most of the job listings I've seen want you to have experience or to be a kinesiology student which I am not. I want to start getting patient care experience while I am in undergrad but I don't really want to have to go through a certification process. Thank you!
Another great video ?
Hey James! Really appreciating your videos and thought into the CASPA application. I'm currently a CNA (almost 2 years) and applying for the first time this year, keep it up (:
Good rule of thumb at the end. I think that's a good way to approach it when you're entering it in CASPA
"If one school accepts it then list it under patient care" Thank you very much! Many blessings
