Ratio compares two numbers , just as you cannot compare apples and oranges so that
Numbers you are comparing must have the same units. i.e Rs : Rs , Kg: kg meter: meter etc.
Proportion: – The equality of two ratio is called proportion.
If a : b = c :d we write a :b :: c:d and we said a,b,c and d are in proportion.
or a/b = c/d
a * d =b*c
