In this video, we will discuss an important concept which is the definition of an invertible function in detail. We will also learn how to prove or identify whether a given is invertible and find its inverse.
f:X→Y is called INVERTIBLE, if there exists a function g:Y→X such that:
gof=I_x and fog=I_y
f^(-1)=g and g^(-1)=f

Class 12 NCERT Exercise 1.3 Questions 6 is discussed in this video.
Show that the function f:[-1,1]→R given by f(x)=x/(x+2) is one-one.
Find the inverse of the function f:[-1,1]→”Range” f.
