I had two male jack russells years ago, they got in a terrible fight after I got it broke up, we all three went to see doctors.
If I wanted a cat I would get one.
Cats are disgusting imo. I did reply to a post & said that some of these Asian breeds are cat-like in some ways. But if you want a cat, get a cat, not an Asian breed dog. There is a Shiba rescue in my area that says they are like cats. They are also nuts and it's one of those places where it's like an obstacle course & get grilled over the phone to adopt one of their dogs. Fuck that shit.
i have a 10 week old american bullie that i would like you to train, Im in Louisiana how do i go about shipping her to you peter. Look forward to speaking
"Shiba inus are catlike" not in the least, I agree with you. There are many other common myths that bother me:
-Huskies can never be off leash
-Dogs need a home with a backyard
-If a dog is high energy, it MUST go to a home with a 6' fence. They don't recommend a home where the dog will be adequately exercised, they think the dog truly needs a 6' fence.
-Purely positive training is the "most effective, science-based" way to train dogs
-The raw diet causes a dog to get salmonella
-Dogs need to go to the dog park to get socialized
-Corrections cause aggression
-Never tell a dog "No", say "Whoops" or "Oopsie" instead
It's damn ridiculous some of the shit people come up with. I used to be a purely positive trainer and used to believe half of the stuff I listed because I didn't know any better. Hopefully people stop spreading lies so less people get misinformed.
I have a toy poodle and have to say, that I often see people who compare them with cats. I always get really angry about that, because any breed of dog is nothing like a cat. Although a toy poodle demands more cuddling and being petted than a walk outside (atleast my toy poodle) it is not a cat. I don't think you could train a cat to do all the tricks my dog does, because it's not something to compare. The kind of responsibility you take when getting a dog is a whole lot different than when you would get a cat.
p.s. I don't give my poodle the typical "poodle look". It looks terrible if you ask me…
This guy is "like an asshole." lol. An ignorant dummy (this guy) infers something about a person's though process by a single statement. A wise person asks "what do you mean by cat like."
is the malinois harder to train than a german shepherd?
