NEW DELHI: Piyush Pratik, 29, toiled over his US MBA applications this year after unsuccessful interviews last season. It’s normal to not make it in the first round, experts would say, but what makes Pratik stand out is that he is among a handful of students who got into four top B-schools.

And the list is heady: Harvard, Stanford, Wharton and Kellogg – each with hefty scholarships. Another 2017 candidate, Mishti Sharma, a 26-year-old from New Delhi who works with a Big Four company, got through to Wharton, Duke, Cornell and Carnegie Mellon.
