A couple of days ago, In an English exam. There was a question there that asked for the appropriate question tag for the sentence "The bag is too heavy to lift" I answered "isn't it?" but another teacher claimed that the correct answer should be "is it?" since the sentence expresses a negative meaning. Frankly his explanation made no sense to me.
Is he right? Am I missing something? What should be the appropriate question tag for the sentence The bag is too heavy to lift?and why?
and can you please tell me how" too" has a negative meaning? and if "too heavy" has negative meaning so what about "too light"? can it be positive? -

thank you so much teacher
