Yes I think that modiji's speech constitute a turning point in India's foreign policy because at the recent sco summit in qiangdao, China he was the only leader who rejected China's one belt,one road initiative and insisted that we should Focus on SECURE. He's right that China and USA do not take their rivalry to the next level ie war because it will not benefit any of them. Recently at g-7 summit US president Donald Trump was not happy with Canada and India on imposing tariff on US goods saying that if the situation continues to be the same, US will not trade with them. So, this is not good. And India is slowly developing its relations with China. Even during the time of doklam incident it was hoped that a war is going to take place between the two but the 2 acted maturely and the war did not take place.
