  1. To the robot: I could make you a gear that small with my 3D printer if you have constructed it… But: the gear will be too weak…
(it starts to crack very fast)
The better Option would be to make a part with the 3D Laser Resin printer (SLA ) , make a mould out of it and fill that with some strong material!

    Tough resin is another opinion…
But for my SLA printer this resin is not available at the moment…

To the handle: hope you'll get it back!

  2. If you have two hidey holes that two cats can get into, and you want to place an opening in between them, make the opening just large enough so they can see the other cat and then reach through and smack the crap out of each other. Cats love that shit.

  3. Maybe you could find a tiny piece of aluminum and use a dremel tool to carve out a tiny replacement gear? I am not sure how feasible this is of course… but could be interesting to attempt.

  4. Love your videos. Thanks for keeping them coming with the same enthusiasm each week. Looking forward to the next one! Also hope you do hear back about the leather handle.

  5. From thrift store shopping for old video games, home computers and '70s/'80s electronic handheld games, I've actually got three Armatrons. One's boxed (but missing some of the little objects to pick up), one's loose, and the third is a later beefier model that has wheels on it and has a wired remote control. And of course, none of them really work.

  6. Hi. I am wondering if making a mold of the gear on the Armitron using silicone or something like that, then using something like acrylic to make the gear, would let you recreate the gear. The acrylic would be pretty tough, but should be easy enough to work with.

    Love the videos!

  7. Haha, classically geeky to get so much into the project and forgetting one fact . 🙂 These carpets when new can emit chemicals (both odorous and odorless) through even 6 months. You wouldn't like to sleep in a room with it if it was not ventilated. 😉 The cats are probably thinking: just when the foamy beddings stopped to smell placticky he changed them for a new plasticky-smelling beddings. What does he want, to poison us? 😉 Ever heard of solid, hard seagrass-filled 100% non toxic bedding for animals? You know, they have n times smaller body mass and x times more sensitive smell, so… 😉 I bet I'll hear some reply to this fact in the next video. 😉 Don't worry, if the carpet is properly made, not with some chineese-poisonous plastics, the 'factory new smell' will go off with ventilating the room and the cats will like the new build.

I've cut and dried normal high-length meadow-like grass (freshly grown and w/o direct exposure to car exhaust fumes of course) and the dogs liked the cosiness of such pillow instantly! Animals know what's best for them. You may try that with your cats.

Just in case: I like your videos, my comment is precise becasue I hope that info would help you in some future cat-house update. 🙂 You can also put a fan for a day or two and check if it will blow off that 'new smell' off the carpet so the cats like it more. 🙂
