What is the IELTs exam?

Hi everyone. I am Sameer. Today, I’m going to be explaining to you what’s exactly the IELTS exam is? IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It’s an exam that tests your knowledge of the English language. It tests how well you can read, write, speak and understand the English language. There are two versions of the IELTS exam. The IELTS for Academics and the IELTS for General Training Version.

The Academic IELTS is usually for those who want to study in an English-speaking university, either at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.

While the General IELTS focuses on basic practical language skills in social and workplace contexts and is typically for those who need the IELTS for visa purposes.
