Vadodara: Around 140 students from the city have qualified to get into the prestigious IITs, the National Institutes of Technologies and other centrally funded technical institutes as the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) advanced 2017 were declared by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, the organizer of the exam, on Sunday.

Nearly 830 students from the city had appeared for the JEE (advanced) this year after clearing JEE (mains).

Jay Paranjape, a student of Gujarat board from Navrachana Vidyani, who had topped the city in JEE mains with All India Rank (AIR) 129 after scoring 315 out of 360 marks, once again topped in Vadodara with AIR 79 by scoring 308 out of 366 marks in JEE advanced.
