Saksham Yadav:

“Saksham Yadav (28), an international-level powerlifter, has passed away in the trauma centre at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on January 7, 2018. He was admitted in an extremely critical condition. Yadav along with his 5 friends was injured in a car accident due to fog conditions near the Singhu Border in outer Delhi’s Alipur area. Four other power-lifters – Tikamchand, Saurabh, Yogesh and Harish Roy – died on the spot. Rohit, the lone survivor of the accident, is admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. Yadav had recently won a gold medal in the 2017 World Championship for Power Lifters in Moscow.”

“Sterling K. Brown is an American actor. He is known for playing Christopher Darden in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, for which he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.

Peter Denis Sutherland:

“Peter Denis Sutherland (25 April 1946 – 7 January 2018) was an Irish international businessman and former Attorney General of Ireland, associated with the Fine Gael party. He was a barrister by profession and was a Senior Counsel of the Irish Bar. He was known for serving in a variety of international organisations, political and business roles.In 1993, he became Director-General of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (now the World Trade Organisation).”

Elina Svitolina:

“Elina Mykhaylivna Svitolina, born 12 September 1994) is a Ukrainian professional tennis player. Having turned professional in 2010, she reached her career-high ranking of world No. 3 on 11 September 2017 and is currently ranked world No. 6.

Svitolina has won ten WTA singles titles, her biggest coming at Premier 5-level tournaments, the Dubai Tennis Championships, Italian Open and Canadian Open, all in 2017.”
