  7. Questions of the session:
Q1. What is the impact of shale oil exploration and shell oil production on the complete oil pricing mechanism in the world[9:22]

Ans: Shale oil exploration has resulted in the decline in the price of crude oil. as the shale oil is being seen as an alternative to the crude oil. If the crude oil's price reach up to the price of $60-$70 per barrel, the countries have the option of purchasing either shale oil or crude oil, owing to which, the crude oil generating countries are being forced to keep the per barrel price of crude oil below $60 per barrel.

Q2. What is the invisibles head in our trade account? [9:39]

Ans: "Invisibles" are a convenient catchall term that includes transactions in services, transfers and income.

Services are the most familiar of these categories, including as they do the dominant items of software, management services, financial services and the like.

Transfers represent one-sided transactions, involving no quid pro quo, such as remittances by our compatriots abroad. Another category known as "income" is defined to include both payments and receipts — payments on account of non-residents employed in India, interest payments made to those who have deposited FCNR deposits and interest charges on loans made to India, besides dividends and profit share to investors in India.

Q3. Why do the FPI exit India whenever Federal Reserve raises rate?[9:57]

Ans: As the Federal reserve raises its rate, a general outflow of foreign funds(FPI, here) take place from emerging markets such as like that of India , this happens as these assets are then considered to be risky assets. It can also be termed as an inverse relation, as the Federal reserve rates rise, Foreign investments in the emerging markets fall.

Q4. What do you mean by "axis of evil"? What exactly was it's impact on North Korea?[12:59]

Ans: The phrase axis of evil was first used by U.S. President George W. Bush in his State of the Union address on January 29, 2002, and often repeated throughout his presidency, to describe foreign governments that, during his administration, sponsored terrorism and sought weapons of mass destruction. The impact of the statement affected North Korea in a way that their nuclear program accelerated after that.

Q5. How exactly does a thermo nuclear bomb operate?[13:54]

Ans: Thermonuclear bomb, also called hydrogen bomb, or H-bomb, weapon whose enormous explosive power results from an uncontrolled, self-sustaining chain reaction in which isotopes of hydrogen combine under extremely high temperatures to form helium in a process known as nuclear fusion. The high temperatures that are required for the reaction are produced by the detonation of an atomic bomb.

Q6. What do you mean by NAV of a mutual fund [16:44]

Ans: Net asset value (NAV) represents a fund's per unit market value. This is the price at which investors buy fund units from a fund company or sell it back to the fund house. It is calculated by dividing the total value of all the assets in a portfolio, minus all its liabilities

Q7. How do mutual funds operate? [16:50]

Ans: A mutual fund is a collection of investments, such as stocks, bonds and other funds owned by a group of investors and managed by a professional money manager. The investment
objective of the mutual fund determines what types of securities it buys. When you buy a mutual fund, you’re pooling your money along with other investors. You put money into a mutual fund by buying units or shares of the fund. As more people invest, the fund issues new units or shares.

The investments in a mutual fund are managed by a portfolio manager. They manage the fund on a day-to-day basis, deciding when to buy and sell investments according to the investment objectives of the fund.

Q8. What do you mean by GAIA. What exactly is the concept of GAIA? [20:38]

Ans: Gaia is the name of the ancient Greek goddess of the Earth, and as a name it was recently revived to refer to the hypothesis formed by James Lovelock and Lynn Margulis, who postulate that the whole biosphere may be alive in that the Earth's life forms are themselves responsible for regulating the conditions that make life on the planet possible.
The Gaia hypothesis, also known as Gaia theory or Gaia principle, proposes that all organisms and their inorganic surroundings on Earth are closely integrated to form a single and self-regulating complex system, maintaining the conditions for life on the planet.

    Q9. What is anthropocene?[21:21]

Ans: The Anthropocene defines Earth's most recent geologic time period as being human-influenced, or anthropogenic, based on overwhelming global evidence that atmospheric, geologic, hydrologic, biospheric and other earth system processes are now altered by humans. The Anthropocene is distinguished as a new period either after or within the Holocene, the current epoch, which began approximately 10,000 years ago (about 8000 BC) with the end of the last glacial period.

Q10: Why did the cash reserve of ONGC deplete suddenly in the past 12 months[27:41]

Ans: Cash reserve of ONGC depleted due to the fact that Government of India started using its reserves to bridge its fiscal deficit, it did so by asking ONGC to pay for government's stake in HPCL(Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited ). Also after the year that ended in March 2017, ONGC was asked to to share fuel subsidies by selling oil to refiners at a discount.

Q11. Analyze the Yemen war in 100 words max.[37:11]

Ans: Yemen is in the grip of its most severe crisis in years, as competing forces fight for control of the country. The main fight is between forces loyal to the beleaguered President, Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi, and those allied to Zaidi Shia rebels known as Houthis, who forced Mr Hadi to flee the capital Sanaa in February.
Yemen’s security forces have split loyalties, with some units backing Mr Hadi, and others the Houthis and Mr Hadi’s predecessor Ali Abdullah Saleh, who has remained politically influential. Mr Hadi is also supported in the predominantly Sunni south of the country by militia known as Popular Resistance Committees and local tribesmen.

The picture is further complicated by the emergence in late 2014 of a Yemen affiliate of the jihadist group Islamic State, which seeks to eclipse AQAP and claims it carried out a series of suicide bombings in Sanaa in March 2015.

After rebel forces closed in on the president’s southern stronghold of Aden in late March, a coalition led by Saudi Arabia responded to a request by Mr Hadi to intervene and launched air strikes on Houthi targets. The coalition comprises five Gulf Arab states and Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Pakistan and Sudan

HOWEVER, we observe that many of the answers are reproductions of other standard sources (Quora answers / Google Books / Google reference / Wikipedia etc.). That defeats the purpose of asking questions in the session. We would want original answers (with self-worded sentences) to appear in comments thread if possible.

Hence, from now on (today and tomorrow onwards), any answer collection that is a reproduction of other sources should be avoided. We still thank everyone for the effort put in, it is remarkable!

Tremendous amount of heat began emanating from it and it threatened to engulf the entire world in flames. Acting on the advice of Brahma and Vishnu, Agni went there in the guise of a mendicant and devoured the vital fluid.Parvati felt insulted. She cursed Agni saying, "From this day thou shall be omnivorous and eat unclean things. The vital fluid that you have devoured shall cause an unbearable inflammation on your body." (Note: See this story for an alternate curse for why Agni became omnivorous.)Instantly, Agni got unbearable inflammation on his body. He beseeched Lord Shiva for a way to end his agony. Lord Shiva said, "You will be relieved of this affliction when you transfer my vital fluid to the womb of a woman."Agni retired to a desolate place, waiting for a suitable woman to arrive. He beheld the six Kritikas, all shivering with cold who arrived there. He then transfered Shiva's vital fluid to their wombs. They became pregnant. When their husbands came to know of this, they cursed the six women, to be turned into stars in a constellation in the sky. Before the transformation, the Kritikas aborted their fetuses on the Himalaya mountains. The holy river Ganga carried the fetuses to a secluded place, called the Sara Vana, which was covered with reeds. After some time, Lord Kartikeya (also called Skanda) manifested from those reeds. Since he was born to six mothers, he had six heads. Since he was born in the Sara Vana, he is also known as Saravana.11.Give a list of 5-6 speaking styles (one of them is cogent) with the meaning. The conflict has its roots in the failure of a political transition supposed to bring stability to Yemen following an Arab Spring uprising that forced its longtime authoritarian president, Ali Abdullah Saleh, to hand over power to his deputy Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi, in 2011. Disillusioned with the transition, many ordinary Yemenis – including Sunnis – supported the Houthis and in late 2014 and early 2015, the rebels took over Sanaa. The Houthis and security forces loyal to Mr Saleh – who is thought to have backed his erstwhile enemies in a bid to regain power – then attempted to take control of the entire country, forcing Mr Hadi to flee abroad in March 2015. Alarmed by the rise of a group believed to be backed militarily by regional Shia power Iran, Saudi Arabia and eight other mostly Sunni Arab states began an air campaign aimed at restoring Mr Hadi's government. The coalition received logistical and intelligence support from the US, UK and France.
