  3. 1).EXCISE DUTY is the indirect Tax imposed on Goods manufacturing.Examples on Oil excise duty cuts by INR 2 .
    CUSTOM DUTY is the INDIRECT tax on EXIM( EXPORT- IMPORT CUSTOM DUTY TAX). Example customs on Manufacturing car export has been reducing while increasing on Luxury cars IMPORT
    2).In India, the “average” rainfall or the long-period average (LPA) is the average of rainfall between 1951 and 2000, which is 89 cm
    3).PENINSULA is the land area surrounded by 3-sides from water and by 1 sides from land
    Examples KOREAN PENINSULA ,SPAIN (CATALONIA) PENINSULA, ARABIAN PENINSULA, INDIAN PENINSULA.

  4. 1) excise duty is an indirect tax levied on production of goods that are manufactured and produCED in india and custom duty is charged on good produced in abroad.2)long period average is ,to sort out a average regarding long period of time. LPA stands for lakh per annum. it is the unit of cost to conpany in india.3)Peninsula is the portion of such land ,of which three paRTS of land is surrounded by water . ex, indian Peninsula, chines peninsula and japan Peninsula.

  5. customs duty is levied on the goods and services we import from outside the country eg we import gold from Dubai thus we'd impose customs on it.
    excise is a duty imposed by the government on the goods and services manufactured within our country.
    It is always wise to keep the customs duty high so that our domestic manufacturers don't have to suffer from cheap imports from big MNCs
