First
1st!
Time to get a crossfire.
Fourth
I noticed the difference in latency immediately over sbus.
Welcome to the party snake! 😉
Have one lying around. Can not get it to work. Updated Kiss fc, it binds, but No pulse input what So ever. Anyone thoughts on what I am forgetting? Same on my betaflight quad so I must be doing something wrong.
Fantastic experiment and explanation, as always. Thanks for doing stuff like this, man.
Thought I noticed a difference but couldn't be sure as I had no side by side comparisons, I can tell you I dont plan on going back to frsky link 🙂
nice! damn need to upgrade thanks snake! fkn wanker
Sucks something else too but
That PC master race though
8ch D16 SBUS runs on 9ms frames, that's ~110hz, not 50. You can get it down to ~55hz when you transmit all 16 channels, but very few people need more than 8 for a quad. It's annoying though, because by default it sends 16ch, so most people never get the faster stuff. The range advantage is undeniable tho.
Lol, you have a small freckle on your neck that I just tried to rub off my screen about 5 times.
I've watched this video a few times now. I tune my quads mostly by sound. (Comes from tuning 2 stroke motorcross bikes) You can here the motors actually sounds smoother and respond quicker. Such a difference. Great test and awesome flying. Thanks for sharing really helps me and I'm sure lots of other people. Stay cool dude ✌???
hahahahaha omfg 6:08 i say the exact same thing to her 😀
love the blind testing breh! thanks for this one!
damn this is really interesting … vid series on how to convert you whole quad into crossfire?
Purchased one straight after seeing the bmsweb Instagram video, great to see you're in agreement about the crossfire. Can't wait for it to arrive.
will be trying it out after watching this video i was on the edge with this! thanks for the video was helpful!
Hahahah see said it just feels crisper …not that its faster or more responsive
Content like this is great
I select CRSF on the Taranis but when I am in Betaflight I have to USE SBUS as if I select Crossfire protocol I don't see any sliders move… why is that?
I just switched over for the same event as Thomas and yeah, not going back to SBUS. It's not a night and day difference, but it's there and there's enough other benefits to Crossfire that I think it's worthwhile. Good to hear the RX price is going to drop, the only hard thing to swallow was the AUD$89 per receiver.
So is this compatible with betaflight right now or is it coming? Sorry I'm not too familiar with crossfire.
Thanks for info, the rx price is pretty much the only reason I haven't picked up a Crossfire, glad to hear it will be getting more reasonable
Hang on I thought in certain environments with lots of 800-900 mhz noise crossfire is not suitable and can have worse range than 2.4ghz links?
what about the latency from the JR module, wouldn't that negate any gains from the Crossfire and the Rx?
So all of you guys gonna go to 900Mhz? …
I'm very curious to see more pilots and reviews of this. If true, count me in to bank saving suicide.
Wow haven't been to your channel for a while. Your starting to smash out some videos… Nicw
Once I see the price of the RX I'll make my decision I'd personally like to see them drop to $45 USD. Either way it sounds very enticing and actually useful for a location that I fly alot with some 2.4 issues in a couple spots of this park.
Thanks for putting out this video, it was very helpful.
I never noticed going to PPM to SBUS, but going from SBUS to PPM was a huge difference
I love the Crossfire w/ CRSF most of the time but I've experienced a 0.25 sec delay sometimes in control delay with beta Crossfire and hoping the next beta release or TBS Immortal T will solve.
New crossfire module won't work on qx7
Does the crossfire also works with the Q X7 transmitter?
As soon as the receivers go down to 30.00 I'm switching over. I'll need 8 recievers and a tx. And a tbs hat, now that i'm on the boat.
Is it just me or I can actually tell on the video?
That video was great. I literally just got my setup in the mail yesterday and was looking forward to installing it. I couldn't believe the handling difference between the 2.
The test lost validity for me as soon as you said you had to update the firmware on everything. Not that I don't believe in the knew technology.
Could you please Test the RR Hypetrain Motors!?;)
I can confirm for the purpose of this test in the video it was set to 8channel, i never noticed the change when i originally went from 16-8 and re tested this yesterday. No idea why this is the case and dont really care, feel is feel and thats all that matters 🙂
So I bought 1. So which protocol do I use?
