Thrissur: The Kerala police have launched a manhunt for a youth from Gwalior who disappeared mysteriously after abandoning his father at the Thrissur railway station. Akash Rajput, 22, had arrived with his father Surender Singh Rajput in Thrissur in the wee hours of September 10. He had convinced his father that he got the 53,000 rank in NEET exam and had produced a call letter from a medical college in Palakkad.

At the Thrissur railway station, Akash left his father at the waiting center and went to the washroom. He did not return.

The father waited until noon and then lodged a complaint with the Railway Protection Force (RPF). An RPF sub-inspector found a call letter from the Palakkad college in Akash’s bag. The police team then took…
