Linear equations are equations between two variables that gives a straight line when plotted on a graph. For example y = 2x + 1 is a linear equation – and as we will see it goes up by a regular amount and when we graph it it will be expressed as a straight line.
We will also look at how to easily recognise a linear equation and a non linear equation, through the use of three simple observations that can be made about the equation.
An easy quick math lesson for you.
