Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations

R.S. Quantitative Capabilities for Competitive Examinations Aggarwal is a book on math problems covering the extensive syllabus considered in most of the publicly available competitive exams held throughout the country each year. This book covers a complete set of questions and addresses them in detail.

The book is divided into two parts of arithmetic ability and data interpretation. The first section highlights numbers, cube roots, fractional parts, permutations and combinations, H.C. F & L.C.M, probabilities and exponents of the remainder, and the latter part provides detailed information about the data list, including pie charts and charts.

The exercises following each chapter are well-designed with a complete and detailed explanation to help students understand whether they have done the right thing and how to get to the solution if they try to get stuck to solve a particularly difficult sum.

For students who take the exam for the first time, this book also contains the problems that were solved in detail and unresolved issues in the past year. This is to ensure that students fully understand the paper before the exams begin. For questions that need clarification, the book includes a detailed step-by-step description of the total sum, wherever needed.

An ideal book for students preparing for competitive exams such as Bank PO, SBI-PO, SSC Joint Initial Review, CBI, IBPS, RBI, CPO, Railroad, Campus Recruitment Examination and other State Government Examinations with CAT, MAT, IGNOU, Management and IIFT.

A publication from S. Chand, the seventh edition of the book, is referred to by many as the “Holy Grail” for successfully breaking the quantitative portion of competitive exams.

R.S. was born in Delhi in 1946 and Aggarwal has studied at Kirori Mal College in Delhi. He was a lecturer at Nanak Chand Anglo Sanskrit College in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh until he successfully obtained a scholarship to pursue a doctorate at Delhi University. After that, he became a reader of NAS, Meerut, and then moved to MMH in Ghaziabad. He wrote about 75 books on student math, as well as books on competitive exams.
