KOTA: Rajasthan has improved its performance from third spot in JEE Mains to second spot in JEE Advanced when results were announced on Sunday .
Figures released by IIT Madras, which conducted the JEE exam, stated that the desert state had up to six times the number of students who qualified when compared to more advanced states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.The desert state has a total of 6,173 qualifiers or 12% of the total number of students who cracked the exam.
Leading the pack is the most populous state, UP, with 7,210 qualifiers. The state has a population of 21 crore while the neighboring Rajasthan has 6.85 crore as per the 2011 Census report. The success ratio of Rajasthan is 1:10 while that of UP…
