The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (www.iist.ac.in) in Thiruvananthapuram is the best one in India for astrophysics and passing out from here will give him an opportunity to enter the Indian Space Research Organisation. Admission is based on a national engineering entrance exam and HSC marks combination. But, he will have to score 25 per cent marks in JEE (advanced). Or he can try for Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, which has a fi ve-year MS course in physics.
