The scene of multiple agencies conducting various National-level entrance examinations may soon become a thing of the past with the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s proposal to set up ‘The National Testing Service (NTS)’, which will be the nodal agency to conduct CAT, JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced), NEET, CMAT, GATE, NET — which was till now conducted by the CBSE, IITs, IIMs and AICTE every year.
