The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) admission process for the academic session 2017 is undergoing.

On June 28, the first allotment result was declared for Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2017.

As said, JoSAA 2017 has been set up by Human Resources Development Ministry (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 97 institutes for the academic year 2017-18.

After the first allotment list was released for admission to IIT institutes, HT reported that majority of the students in the top 100 ranks had opted for IIT-Bombay as their first preference and have been placed in the same institute.
